University of Iowa Dance Marathon 23 Goal Reveal
IOWA CITY, IA - To close out this year’s Lime Days, the University of Iowa Dance Marathon is proud to announce their fundraising goal for Dance Marathon 23. The tradition of the goal reveal was started last year and led to a record-breaking tote board at the Big Event. UIDM is excited to continue with this momentum. The announcement of the goal will take place on Friday, September 23rd during a fun event from 2:00-4:00 PM in the Hawkeye Room of the Iowa Memorial Union.
“Goals help the Dance Marathon community to stay motivated and always push ourselves to do more. While our participants provide an immeasurable amount of emotional support to the families we serve, goals give them measurable aspirations and allow them to do things they never thought possible. Further, the goal for Dance Marathon 23 is based upon the large amount of pediatric cancer families who unfortunately join our Dance Marathon family each year, and how much financial support we provide to each of these families. With that being said, our goal becomes much more personal than a number. This number represents the support we need to provide to our wonderful Dance Marathon families who are so deserving of our time, talents, and treasure,” says Executive Director Morgan Kennedy.
In addition to the goal reveal, Friday’s event will include snacks, karaoke, and stories from some of the incredible kiddos and families that Dance Marathon strives to support.
