“UI Dance Marathon 31 Big Event” 

IOWA CITY, IA — On February 7th and 8th, the University of Iowa Dance Marathon will hold its annual Big Event. This event will take place from 7:00 PM Friday to 7:00 PM Saturday. This year's Big Event is a highly anticipated and inspiring annual celebration that honors the dancers, leaders, and the entire community for their incredible contributions throughout the year in support of the more than 1,400 families treated at the University of Iowa Stead Family Children’s Hospital. Through UI Dance Marathon, these families receive both financial and emotional support, making this event a powerful testament to their collective impact. 

We’ll be continuing our beloved Big Event traditions, including Short Hair Don’t Care, a high-energy fundraising power hour, family speakers, the kiddo graduation ceremony, the kiddo talent show, fundraising incentives throughout the day, the tote board reveal, and so much more, all taking place throughout the IMU. Additionally, we’ll be incorporating elements from our past virtual format, such as a livestream of the event, so everyone can join in on the excitement, no matter where they are.
