Dear Dance Marathon Family,
As we begin this new year with DM32, we want to first say thank you. Thank you for welcoming us into your lives, for allowing us to walk alongside you in your journey, and for continuing to inspire us with your strength. You are one of over 1,400 families who remind us every day why we do what we do.
Last year, DM31 was all about being Powered by Purpose. This year, we’re carrying that energy forward by striving to grow our passion, participation, and fundraising efforts while always keeping you, our families, at the heart of our mission.
While you’re on the 11th floor of the Stead Family Children’s Hospital, Dance Marathon is here to offer fun and uplifting experiences for your kiddos and family. Our Family Relations team and Executive Council members volunteer in-person at Stead, spending quality time with your kiddos through crafts, games, and connection. We’re continuing our weekly virtual and in-person programming to make sure everyone can join in on the fun.
Outside the hospital, we’re excited to host monthly family events, as well as virtual opportunities to stay connected. These events are a chance for Dance Marathon families and members to come together in support, celebration, and friendship. If you're interested in getting more involved, the Family Representative Program is a great way to stay in the loop and build a more personal connection with a Dance Marathon member.
As we celebrate 32 years of Dance Marathon, we remain dedicated to creating a space where your family feels seen, supported, and empowered through every part of your story.
There will be plenty of information to come! Please refer to the biweekly Family Liaison emails for any updates. For any questions concerning Hospital Programming, please contact DM-HospitalLiaison@uiowa.edu. For any questions regarding Family Relations, please contact DM-FamilyLiaison@uiowa.edu.
