Why did you want to get involved in Dance Marathon?

Throughout high school, I watched some hometown friends come to Iowa and get involved with Dance Marathon. I immediately knew it would be one of the first things I joined when I got to campus! I was excited to find an organization that allowed me to give back to families who need it most.

What impact has Dance Marathon made on your life?

Dance Marathon has changed my life in more ways than I can count. There is nothing that compares to the joy, hope, and love you feel from being at a DM event. Through DM I’ve found a renewed sense of purpose, gratitude, and lifelong best friends. It has by far been my favorite part of my time at Iowa.

What message would you share with current UI dancers?

You made the right choice by joining Dance Marathon!! Everything you do for this organization is helping to make a real difference in the lives of our kiddos and families. Thank you for being here and supporting the mission of this org - you should be incredibly proud of the difference you’re making!

What message would you share with families and children who benefit from Dance Marathon?

Thank you for letting all of us be a part of your family's journey. Your strength, resilience, and bravery are what continue to inspire us each and every day. We will continue to cherish your family's stories and keep them at the core of all that we do. You are the heart of this organization and have truly changed my life for the better.
