“UI Dance Marathon 27 Day to DM”
IOWA CITY, IA — On October 15th and 16th, the University of Iowa Dance Marathon will have their annual fundraising push day: Day to DM. The virtual event will take place from 8:00 PM Thursday to 8:00 PM Friday.
Day to DM is a highly anticipated and inspirational annual event that encourages dancers, leadership, and the community to Donate Money, Drive Motivation, and most importantly Do More for the 1000+ families that Dance Marathon supports financially and emotionally.
Although this year may look different in a fully virtual modality, there will continue to be events that will resemble beloved Day to DM traditions such as a fundraising power hour, family speakers, matching hours, merchandise sales, and fundraising incentives & challenges throughout the day. In addition, there will be new aspects to this day including a livestream, Facebook silent auction, and more.
"Day to DM is always one of my favorite events of the year,” Elizabeth Jackson, Executive Director, shared. “It is such a special way to dedicate 24-hours to fundraising and supporting our families at UISFCH. This year as things look very different in our community, we are rising with resiliency to come together and do everything for kids who can't wait. It will serve as a reminder that our mission remains the same and it is more important now than ever to do everything we can to emotionally and financially support our families."
