I am AnDee Atkins, the Development Director for Dance Marathon 32. My love for DM started when I was in high school. I was fortunate enough to be a part of the planning and execution of our HS DM - being able to start my love so early has continued to fuel my passion into what it is today. Coming into college I knew I wanted to join UIDM, but I was super nervous because I was already going through so many big life changes, but it ended up being the best decision I ever made. Not only do I get to support the strongest bravest kiddos and families I have ever met, but I also found my biggest supporters and best friends here too. 

 

To the dancers: Don't be scared to step out of your comfort zone and try something new. I did it and look where I am now, supporting the best kiddos and doing it with the best people around. I regret not joining Dance Marathon my freshman year, but everything really does happen for a reason. You will find your group of people within Dance Marathon. It is never too late to join and have the experience of a lifetime.
