Campbell Wood
Executive Director
Biography
Hi! I’m Campbell, and I’m the Executive Director for Dance Marathon 32! I’m a senior from Kansas City, KS, majoring in journalism with certificates in leadership studies and writing, and minors in American studies, media management, and sport media and culture. I always knew I wanted Dance Marathon to be a part of my college experience — dancing, hanging out with kiddos, and giving back to the community are all cornerstones of my personality. However, I continue to come back each year for the leadership skills I’ve gained, the lifelong friendships I’ve made, and, of course, always being inspired by the strongest kiddos I know. One of my favorite parts about this organization is that it grows with you and for whatever reason you join, I promise you will walk away with a million more reasons to stay.
Dear dancers,
Thank you for taking the chance to be a part of something special and joining a movement bigger than yourself. My advice is to fully embrace the experience, and you will find so much joy because of it. This is a place where every second you spend here is a second spent making an impact and changing lives. There’s nothing quite like the moment the final tote board rises at the end of those 24 hours. In that instant, you’ll see it’s more than just a number — it’s a symbol of love, dedication, and the difference you helped make. And you’ll want to do even more. So raise the money, connect with the families, and, while it’s not required, dance your heart out! We’re so grateful to have you with us as part of our DM32 story.
Love, Campbell
