Biography
Hi! I’m Madeline, and I’m serving as the Event Director for Dance Marathon 33. I’ve been involved in Dance Marathon since my freshman year, and being part of this organization has shaped so much of my college experience. What started as a way to get more involved at Iowa quickly became something I’ve dedicated years to because of the people and the purpose behind it.
Through my time on leadership, I’ve seen how much intention and effort goes into everything we do- not just the Big Event, but the all the work and events that happen throughout the entire year. Being part of that process and watching it all come together is incredibly meaningful, especially knowing the impact it has on the kids and families we support.
Dear dancers,
Thank you for choosing to be part of Dance Marathon 33. Whether this is your first year or you’ve been involved before, your time, energy, and commitment are so impactful.
My biggest advice is to stay present in every part of the experience. Take the time to connect with the people around you, learn the stories behind why we do what we do, and don’t lose sight of the impact behind every dollar raised.
The Big Event itself is just one day, but what you contribute lasts far beyond that. I hope you walk away from this year feeling proud of what you were part of and motivated to keep making a difference. We’re so glad you’re here.
